Financial Analyst

Virtus Consulting Group (VCG), based in Reston, Va, is searching for Financial Analysts to support an Enterprise Costing and Planning software implementation. Consultants are responsible for the iterative development of functional and technical requirements as well as system design documents and related content for both technical and less-experienced users. Consultants will be involved in helping define business requirements as well as working with the system developers to design, document, and translate complicated technical concepts to meet the needs of the business. Consultants must also demonstrate knowledge of all stages of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as they will provide full life-cycle support, including requirements gathering, design, build, test, training and deployment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, accounting or budgeting
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases
  • Minimum of 2 years experience performing highly complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Significant experience gathering and translating requirements from users
  • Significant experience working with large financial and related system implementation
  • Significant experience developing and implementing capitalization methods, and reviews journal entries to meet business needs
